In a dedicated effort to foster environmental consciousness and engage students in the discourse on sustainable practices, Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) recently hosted a series of "Green Days" from February 27 to 29. This initiative aimed to enlighten students about crucial aspects of renewable energy and strategies for mitigating climate change.

The event unfolded within the framework of the REFRESH project, in which UNEC actively participated as a valued partner. The REFRESH project, focused on promoting green and sustainable global economic improvements in Azerbaijani universities, provided the ideal backdrop for these educational sessions.

As part of the Green Days activities, a specialized informational session was conducted at the Green Stand, where UNEC staff members were apprised of the latest developments in renewable energy and climate change reduction. To add a touch of nature to the proceedings, potted plants were generously distributed as gifts to UNEC employees, symbolizing a commitment to environmental well-being.

Amid the vibrant atmosphere of the Green Stand, students and staff also seized the opportunity to capture moments of environmental awareness by taking photographs next to the REFRESH stand. These snapshots not only served as memorabilia but also contributed to the wider narrative of promoting sustainable practices within the academic community.

Overall, the Green Days at UNEC were a resounding success, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and inspiring students and staff to actively contribute to the ongoing efforts for a greener and more sustainable future. The engagement with the REFRESH project further underscored UNEC's commitment to being at the forefront of initiatives that address pressing global challenges, such as climate change.
