Ganja State University hosted the info-session of the project "Green and sustainable global economic improvement at Azerbaijani Universities: renewable energy and climate change mitigation (REFRESH)." This event, conducted under the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission, marked Ganja State University as a partner and the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) as the coordinator.

Academic staff and students gathered at the event to receive detailed insights into the project.

The presentation highlighted that the primary aim of the "REFRESH" project is to have a significant role in achieving the objectives outlined in the strategic document "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development." The project focuses not only on training national personnel at universities in renewable energy sources but also on making a valuable contribution to national priorities. The three-year project involves a consortium of 15 partners, comprising 6 local institutions, 4 European universities, and non-governmental organizations.

During the presentation, it was emphasized that a comprehensive study was conducted within the project framework to assess the state of renewable energy in universities. The participants were provided with the results of this survey.

As the event concluded, an overview was given of the accomplishments achieved within the project and an outline of upcoming tasks, emphasizing the commitment to advancing sustainable practices and contributing to national development goals.
