In a significant stride towards promoting green and sustainable global economic improvement in Azerbaijani universities, the Quality Assurance Board of the Erasmus+ KA2 project "Green and sustainable global economic improvement in Azerbaijan universities: renewable energy sources and climate change mitigation" (REFRESH) convened for its 2nd meeting on February 19.

Notably, representatives from six local and four foreign universities, integral parts of the project consortium, also contributed to the Quality Assurance (QA) meeting. The gathering aimed to address critical issues concerning the progress and quality of the ongoing REFRESH project.

Member of the REFRESH team Narmin Ibrahimova took the lead in proposing a culminating event to showcase the project's accomplishments. She suggested organizing a final conference in Baku, following practice visits, as an effective means to introduce the initiative to a wider audience.

A pivotal highlight of the meeting was the acknowledgment of the translation efforts invested in translating the book "Sustainable Energy" by R. Dunlap into Azerbaijani. This translation, conducted within the framework of the REFRESH project, was hailed as a crucial element ensuring the sustainability of the initiative.

The meeting delved into a range of quality control matters, discussing strategies to enhance and maintain the project's standards. Ultimately, a consensus was reached, leading to the creation of a unified quality control document that will guide the project through its various phases.

The REFRESH project, with its emphasis on renewable energy sources and climate change mitigation, stands as a beacon for sustainable development in Azerbaijani universities. As it moves forward, the collaborative efforts of the participating universities and stakeholders promise a positive impact on both local and global scales.
