The meeting brought together representatives from prestigious institutions, including the University of Bologna (Italy), the University of Barcelona (Spain), the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), Azerbaijan Technological University, Sumgait State University, Ganja State University, and Mingachevir State University.
Domiziano Mostacci, the REFRESH project coordinator from the University of Bologna, introduced the project's external audits, providing an overview of the assessment processes and familiarizing the partners with the auditors.
The meeting served as a platform to evaluate the overall progress and achievements of the REFRESH project. The attendees discussed the current status of project activities, reflecting on the milestones achieved so far and identifying key areas requiring further attention. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the internal monitoring process, where partners collaboratively reviewed and distributed monitoring responsibilities among themselves concerning the Work Packages (WPs) implemented within the project framework. This ensured a systematic and structured approach to project evaluation and progress tracking.
Moreover, the criteria for internal monitoring were carefully determined, emphasizing quality assurance, effectiveness, and alignment with the project's sustainability goals. The discussions aimed to enhance collaboration and optimize the implementation strategies to achieve the intended outcomes of the REFRESH project.
The meeting underscored the collective commitment of all participating institutions to fostering sustainable development, advancing green initiatives, and promoting renewable energy solutions within the higher education sector in Azerbaijan. By engaging in comprehensive monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, the project partners reaffirmed their dedication to ensuring the successful execution of the REFRESH project and its long-term impact.
