Virtual Learning and Simulation Laboratory Inaugurated at Azerbaijan University of Technology within "REFRESH" Project

The Azerbaijan University of Technology (ATU) has officially inaugurated its new Virtual Learning and Simulation Laboratory, established under the framework of the "REFRESH" project.
The opening ceremony featured the traditional ribbon-cutting performed by Assoc. Prof. Yashar Omarov, Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Technology, and Prof. Adalat Muradov, Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Prof. Misir Mardanov, Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics; Academician Nizami Jafarov, Director of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan; and senior representatives from UNEC.
Operating under the Department of Environmental Protection at ATU, the Virtual Learning and Simulation Laboratory is a key milestone of the "REFRESH" project. This initiative is coordinated by UNEC, partnered by ATU, and funded by the European Union.
The laboratory is equipped with high-performance hardware, including:
5 laptops and advanced printing systems;
28 types of modern technical equipment specifically designed for developing prototypes of microcontroller-based tracking devices aimed at enhancing solar panel efficiency.
Following the inauguration, a plenary meeting was held between the leadership of ATU and UNEC to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation and future academic initiatives.
